The players was introduced at Food Network Studio A.  Where they met Bobby Flay & The Selection Committee whom Welcome them.  Then Alton Brown entered the room giving their first challenge.

FIRST MINI CHALLENGE:  To Camera introduce themselves in 1 sentence & their POV. 

NEXT DAY:  Back to the Food Network.  Alton is there.

MAIN CHALLENGE:  in teams of 2 produce 3 dishes:  2 individual & 1 Team dish & give your POV in 30 minutes.

START OFF:  3:oo am in the early morning.  Then Robert Irvine enter the Carriage House & wake up cooks.  He then told them about part of their Challenge.  He divided them into 3 Teams of 3.

- GREEN TEAM:  Kelsey, Kevin & Jeffrey,

- BLUE TEAM:  Lisa, Nipa, & Shane,

- GRAY TEAM:  Adam, Aaron & Jennifer.

- Each team will play a Gathering Game by going to Specialty Shop, answering questions, if CORRECT get an ingredients, if wrong do a task,.

- Nipa was so slow getting ready,  Her team waited for her 1/2 hr.

- Nipa didn't like to be told she wrong walked out of the room.  She think she should be the winner & was upset.  But, came back & said she was sorry.

FOOD PRODUCT CHALLENGE:  Create your own package food product, make samples to give to 50 buyers of food stores

START OFF:  The Cooks are leaving the Carriage House for Home of Food Network - Studio B.  Then Tyler Florence arrived. 

CHALLENGE:  Technique Video.

- Make a Video  in 1 minute showing the view on how a specific skill.

PRIZE:  Their Video will appear on Foodnetwork.com

- Adam:  How to breakdown an artichoke,

- Aaron:  Cut a Pineapple,

- Kelsey:  French a Rack of Lamb,

- Shane:  Open a Coconut,

- Nipa:  Clean a Fresh Squid,

- Lisa:  Truss a Chicken,

- Jennifer:  Shuck an Oyster.

Then they go into the kitchen where they are greeted by all of fishes.  Then Michael Symon walk in.

ADVISOR:  Michael Laduke, Senior Executive Chef of Red Lobster.

FRESH FISH CHALLENGE:  each pick 1 fish and create a dish that might appear on Red Lobster menu.  Plus, with an Iron Chef Twist - Create another dish with funky ingredients. in 60 minutes.

- Nipa start crying 'cause she does not any fish experience.

- 30 minutes to Create an original dish using those ingredients   Then put your describing skill to the test on camera.  TWIST: Switch with some & describe there dish.

PRIZE:  advantage.  Will pick the choices in the next challenge.

CHALLENGE:  Perform your first full--on cooking demo on a TV show in a TV Studio.  Create a meal & be able to demo it to camera in exactly 4 minutes.

THEN A MESSAGE:  From Rachel Ray came on the monitor.  They will do it on her show LIVE! & have a Girl Scout - a Brownie as their helper.  Also, the final four will go on to Las Vegas.

- Aaron was good.  Only mistake was he turn his back to the audience.

- Adam was too comfortable

- Kelsey kept mentioning her culinary school & sound too young.

- Shane wasn't comforable & didn't know his Brownie's name.

- Lisa shut down & her food was too hard... She looked mean.

CHOCOLATE CHALLENGE:  45 minutes to come up with your chocolate idea.

ARRIVED AT:  Fort Dix, in New Jersey.  Went to a Hangar where Giada was there & 2 guests:

CHALLENGE:  To invent M.R.E. & using the pantry on property in 20 minutes & 1 minute to present your dish.

- BOTTOM:  Adrien & JAG.

- TOP & WINNER:  Paul.

NOW THEY HEAD:  to the Mess Hall.

- Giada & Paula Deen is there.

CHALLENGE:  Taste of Home.  Lasagna, Meat Loaf & Pot Pies.

- Prepare 1 of the entrees & 2 side dishes serve 75 soldier & give 3 minutes presentation. in 2 hours with a partner picked by Paul.

- Paul picked Jag & Meat Loaf for himself,

- Adrien & Michael & Pot Pies,

- Rory & Amy get Lasagna.

- The oven Jag was using was broken & Jag got really upset.  They were forced to fry their food.

CHALLENGE:  Have 3 bags of rice in front with 3 ingredients for them.  30 minutes to tell a story, create a dish, and 3 minutes to demo it.  With limit pantry.

- Amy:  Veal Cutlet, Oyster Mushroom & Popcorns,

- Paul:  Calamari, Fennel, & Persimmon,

- Jag:  Shrimp, Snow Peas, & Corn Flakes,

- Adrien:  Flounder, Japanese Eggplant & Peanut Butter,

- Rory:  Minute Steak, Red Radish & Dried Prunes.

NEXT CHALLENGE:  Least Favorite Food.

- Design an original dish that glorifies the ingredient, then design a demo for 5 minutes in front live to camera with no stops.  Write out a script with 4 talking points.
